Once against the weather has beaten the many of the teams
again, with no games for the under 8's,
under 10's, under 11's. or under
12's
The under 13's managed to play
their home game against Castle Rise drawing 1 - 1. A very
competitive game which saw Thrapston go in deservedly 1 –
0 up at half time, having played some very creative football.
Sam Gough heading home from a Steven Wildman corner. The second
half saw Castle Rise come into the game and forced the home
side to defend solidly for 20 mins before they finally equalised.
Thrapston were unlucky not to have nicked the win when they
forced three good saves from the Castle Rise keeper in the
last 5 minutes. The final score was 1 - 1.
The under 14's played out a draw
away to Grange United. In an evenly contested game, Grange
were 1 – 0 up at the interval and scored a second early
in the second half. Thrapston put on th pressure in the last
20 minutes, Andrew Stone scoring the first and a clinical
finish from Ross Smith in the dying seconds game Thrapston
a deserved draw. The game ending up 2 - 2.
