The under 10's beat Aztec Braves 4 - 2, with Kyle Fox, Reece
Evans and Jack Rawcliffe (2) getting on the score sheet.
The lost only their
second game away to Corby Ravens. The game was evenly balanced
for the first 15 minutes, both teams missing chances until
Jedd Whiteman ran on to a clearance to put the visitors 0
–1 to the good. Corby soon bounced back and scored two
quick goals, both as a result of poor defending. At half time
the score was 2 – 1. The second half continued as the
first half left off, with Thrapston missing a number of chances
but the game was made safe for the home team with two further
goals to make the final score 4 –1. A disappointing
performance especially in defence.
The played their best
team performance of the season so far ensured Thrapston won
0 – 4 at Cottingham. Adam Hope (2) and Daniel Lynch
(2) both scores one goal in each half to give the away team
the points.
The - match postponed.
The got back into
winning ways with a 5 -1 success over Earls Barton. A much-improved
Thrapston performance, with Kyle Dorban and Ben Allington
skillfully defending tough Earls Barton pressure throughout
the match. Good creative attacking play from the home side
saw Alistair Jones score from a tight angle and then with
a 25-yard lob over the keeper giving 2 – 0 at half time.Steven
Wildman added Thrapston’s 3rdjust after the break with
a good turn and low driven shot, Chris Meadway added two more
goals with a shot over the keeper and a well-taken very brave
header. The final score 5 –1 to Thrapston.
The lost away to Irchester.
In a very evenly contested game, Thrapston scored early through
Sam Alcock, but Irchester leveled just before half time. Irchester
took their chances in the second half whereas the away team
didn’t although both sides were evenly matched throughout.
Irchester finally won 5 – 1.
