The under 11's returned to winning
ways with a 10 - 1 home win against Higham Colts. The game
started evenly with both sides creating chances, but it was
Thrapston who broke the deadlock, Matthew Wright opening the
scoring, followed shortly by Kieran Moore’s first. Keiran
added his second midway through the first half. Higham battled
on but the home sides defence was too strong. Thrapston scored
three quick goals just before half time, Jedd Whiteman (2)
outpacing the opposition and Craig Mattingly with a deflected
effort. Shortly after the interval both Jedd Whiteman and
Keiran Moore completed their hat tricks before going on to
score another goal each, Kieran’s a stunner from an
acute angle. Higham scored a scrambled consolation goal, but
in the end Thrapston’s pace and clinical finishing in
front of goal, along with solid defending saw them worthy
winners. Final score 10 - 1.
