The had an excellent
win against Irchester, with Tom Alsop netting four goals and
his second hat trick in two games. Alex Vitue scored two goals
and Sam Gallagher one.
The played their first
game of the season drawing 1 - 1 with Generals Red, Jack Rawcliffe
scoring their only goal.
The conceded an early
goal, but then defended stoutly to keep Ise Lodge out. Jedd
Whiteman scored midway through the first half, but a goal
just before the break saw Ise Lodge go in 1 - 2 to the good.
The second half again saw Thrapston lose a couple of goals
before an individual effort by Michael Cooke closed the gap
to 2 - 4. The away side then scored two more goals to make
the final score 2 - 6. An excellent match played in a good
spirit by both sides.
The lost 0 -
3 away to Rushden Rangers and the under 12's lost at home
to Hellenic.
The were convincingly
beaten by a very strong Vicarage Farm side 0 - 11. They battled
well against a much stronger, faster Vicarage Farm team who
took the home defence apart from both wings. Thrapston's goalkeeper
Sam Roach had a good game despite the large score with Michael
White and David Cunningham giving their all.
The played their game
at Rushden Rangers. Ross Smith opened the scoring with an
opportunist goal, and then Asa Vorley sent a perfect through
ball for Sam Alcock to slot home. The second half saw Rushden
dominate, but failed to finish off the game with some determined
defending from the away side, the eventual score finishing
1 -2 to Thrapston.
The played out a 0
- 0 away draw at Thorpe Wood Rangers. The game was a bit negative
after last weeks good start, neither side able to carve an
opening. Dan Marsh was Man of the Match.
