Weather disrupted the under 8's, 9's,
10's & under 11's games today.
The under 12's Youth played their
first game in two months losing away at Ise Lodge Eagles 3
- 0.
The under 12's finally played
their County Cup game against Whitefield Norpol but were well
beaten 7 - 1.
The under 13's played well against
Vicarage Farm but went down a credible 4 - 0. Thrapston’s
goalie Sam Roach was man of the match for some fine and brave
saves. The whole Thrapston team battled superbly and created
some good chances. At 0 – 2 down Liam Lynch came very
close, and moments later scored a goal, which was disallowed
for a tight offside decision, after some good Thrapston pressure.
With 15 minutes left Thrapston ran out of substitutes against
the Vicarage Farm onslaught and had to finish with 10 men,
and were unlucky to concede 2 more after their brave display.
The under 14's lost their re-arranged
County Cup game against a stronger Gregory Celtic team. The
final score 3 -0.
The under 15's lost 3 - 1 against
West Pinchbeck, with Tom Purdy getting the away sides only
goal. Thrapston had plenty of chances by the Pichbeck keeper
and the woodwork kept the visitors at bay. Lack of match practice
showed after a five week layoff.
