The under 10's played
a re-arranged fixture against Ise Lodge Hawks, but were beaten
6 - 3. Reece Evans, Kyle Fox & Jack Rawcliffe getting
on the scoresheet.
The under 11's played a tough
home game against Weekley Rovers eventually losing 3 - 6.
Despite Thrapston conceding three early goals, the game remained
even with the home side missing a couple of opportunities
to close the gap. With 10 minutes of the first to go Kieran
Moore was brought down outside the penalty area and Ryan Gavin
stepped up to score from 35 yards. Jedd Whiteman then dribbled
around four players to score an individual effort and make
the score 2 – 3. Shortly after the restart, Kieran Moore
ran on to a through ball to even the score, but immediately
Weekley restored their lead and then went on to score a further
two goals to make the final score 3 – 6 to the away
side. A very entertaining game played in very difficult heavy
conditions.
The under 13's extended their
unbeaten run to four games with an impressive win at home
to Ise Lodge Hearts. A very entertaining game, which saw Ise
Hearts attack in numbers, which made the Thrapston defence
look shaky. However, Thrapston took advantage on the break
with Chris Meadway placing home. Ise then equalised after
good pressure only for the home side to score with an excellent
clip over the keeper from Sam Gough. Ise equalised again just
before half time to go in 2 – 2 at the break. The second
half saw Thrapston take the game to the visitors and scored
four good goal and all brilliantly creative football with
Chris Meadway scoring his second, Sam Gough completing his
hat trick and Ali Jones after a strong run. Thrapston eventual
winners 6- 2.
The under 14's played in the
first round of the Invitation County Cup. Thrapston were 1
– 0 up at half time through a well-taken goal by Sam
Alcock. The second half saw Sam Alcock add one to his tally
and a brace from Jack Wisniewski saw Thrapston through 1 -
4.
