The continued their
high goal scoring with a decisive victory at home to Vicarage
Farm. They started the game brightly scoring two quick goals
within the first 5 minutes from Jedd Whiteman & Keiran
Moore. Keiran then added to his tally straight from a corner,
before the visitors scored an own goal and Craig Mattingley
added the fifth. A penalty just on half time made the score
5 - 1. The second period saw the sides pace dominate the game
with Jedd Whiteman and Keiron Moore netting further goals
to give them four apiece. Goal keeper, Harry Allington also
got on the score sheet with a penalty and Josh Wesby ran half
the pitch from left back to score an excellent solo effort.
The final score ending up at 12 - 1.
A superb team performance throughout!
The played their first
home game of the season against Irchester. The away team took
the lead after 15 minutes but then Daniel Lynch scored from
25 yards to make it 1 -1. Just before half time, Jonathon
Lawrence managed to squeeze the ball in from a corner. Midway
through the second half, Jonathon managed to score his second
to seal the first points for the team.
The played their first
game away to Ringstead Rangers. The took an early lead through Jack Nicholson's 25
yard drive to the top corner, in a game that was dominated
by the away team. Ringstead battled well but were denied many
chances by a solid defence. Sam Gough and Alastair Jones added
one each in the second half, with Brendan May outstanding
in midfield.
The played their first
game of the season at home to Northborough, successfully completing
the game 5 - 2 to the good. The first goal was scored by Aiden
Cowell from the half way line followed then by Tom Allen ,
Dan Marsh & Ben Smith. Mark Harrison added a fifth in
the second half. Man of the Match went to David Mallett, but
the whole team were to be congratulated on playing entertaining
football throughout.
