The
under 14's continued their good
form with another win away at Corby Kingswood 2 - 5.
Thrapston attacked from the start and
their eraly pressure was rewarded by a crisp strike from Jake
Wesby. Kingswood rallied and within 10 minutes they had drawn
level. Good work from Andy Stone and Sam Alcock saw a lofted
ball driven fiercely into the net from 20 yards by Josh Wesby
for his second. Continued Thrapston dominance saw Asa Vorly
resist the pressure to go down as he twisted and turned and
slotted home Thrapston's third just before half time. Half
time 1 - 3.
Kingswood came out chasing the game
in the second half and really pressed their opponents back
for 10 minutes and totally against the run of play, Sam Alcock
converted a typical strikers goal. Thrapston hit their fifth
through Jake Wesby, his second hat-trick in two games.
Kingswood never gave up and were rewarded
when Thrapston's defence went missing allowing the home side's
centre forward to round the Thrapston keeper and slip the
ball home. Final score 2 - 5.
