The Under 8s
enjoyed a good match with Kestrels, with both teams trying
to pass the ball.
Kestrels opening the scoring midway through the first half
when a cross from the right was turned into his own goal by
Tom Alsop. A further Kestrels goal followed before Alsop pulled
one back; finishing well after good work from Sam Gallagher.
As Thrapston pushed on, they were unlucky to conceded a third
just before the break.
In the second half, Thrapston pushed on in an attempt to
get back into the game, and had several attempts on goal,
whilst man of the match Connor Morson dealt well with any
Kestrels attacks. Kestrels got a fourth goal near the end
as Thrapston pushed players forward.
All in all a good performance, which with some luck might
have had a greater reward. The final score ended up 1 - 4
to the Kestrels.
