After a late
start due to a fixture mix up Thrapston failed to take the
initiative and soon fell to a well taken goal. Worse was still
to follow although reserve goal keeper Matthew Hansford was
having a good game. Half time came with a 2 - 0 scoreline
in favour of Weekley.
The second half started in dismal fashion for Thrapston,
and they soon fell further behind, 2 became 3, 3 became 4
& 4 became 5. Thrapston managed a few shots on target,
with top scorer Ryan Caller going close from long range. Changes
were made but it was a case of the Manager playing too many
players out of position and no progress was made in the game
to improve the scoreline.
Final result 8 - 0 to the Weekley Rovers and plenty of work
to be done in the midweek training sessions.
