The suffered
their third defeat of the season away at Finedon Youth losing
4 - 1. Thrapston had the better start, keeping Finedon in
their own half for the first 10 minutes but couldn't convert
their chances. Finedon gradually got stronger and scored their
opener after fifteen minutes following some sustained pressure.
Shortly before half time Jedd Whiteman took the ball down
the right wing, crossed a superb ball for Craig Mattingley
to finish. Half time 1 - 1. The second half saw Finedon quickest
off the mark, and soon their lead was restored after some
poor defending by the away side. Finedon then scored their
third shortly after. Thrapston struggled to pierce the well-organised
Finedon defence and with 10 minutes to go, they scored their
fourth, a stunning 30 yard effort. A disappointing performance.
Final score 4 - 1.
