The eased
into the final of the Burton Cup beating Corby Ravens 1 -
2 at the Weekley Glebe. Thrapston got off to a flying start,
Duncan Charles lobbing the advancing Ravens keeper to go 0
- 1 up after five minutes. Ravens tried to use the downhill
slope to their advantage and eventually their long ball tactics
paid off, Thrapston unable to clear their lines allowing the
Ravens striker in. Thrapston were awarded a penalty shortly

home. Half time 1 - 2. Ravens came out in the second half
with greater conviction, but stout Thrapston defending kept

the final ten minutes of the game, the Thrapston keeper Lewis
Wiggs, making vital saves to thwart the Ravens attack. Final
