The game
against Corby Ravens has been postponed.
The lost
0 - 7 at home to Northampton Soccer Stars in the 3rd round
of the County Cup. Soccer Stars pressured from the start and
were 0 - 2 up within 10 minutes. The home side found it difficult
to get out of their own half for most of the first half with
only one attack coming to nothing. Keiran Moore battled well
in midfield but the away side managed to get their third before
the break to go in 0 - 3 up. Thrapston were pinned back in
the second half, their stand-in keeper Rob Cunningham making
some good stops, but Soccer Stars were too well organised
in all areas and added a further four goals to make the final
score 0 -7 and end Thrapston's cup run.
The played
their game against Rothwell Aztec a day earlier and managed
a 1 - 3 win. An evenly fought opening 10 minutes with Thrapston
slowly getting on top and scoring after 20 minutes with a
goal from Cory James after a fine run & cross by Fraser
Talbot. Aztec deservedly levelled the game shortly after the
break, but two late goals by Daryl Smith and Jonathon Lawrence
gave Thrapston the three points.
The
lost 0 - 14 at home to South Rushden.
The lost
9 - 3 in the third round of the County Cup to Ravens Youth
with Chris Meadway getting Thrapston's goals.
The drew
1 - 1 away at Corby Ravens. Thrapston again paid the penalty
for a string of missed chances. After dominating the game
they scored through Jake Wesby in the second half but against
the run of play Ravens replied. Thrapston dominated the remainder
of the game but failed to score.
