The Under 11's won
2 - 1 at Woolaston with Reece Evans scoring Thrapston's two
goals.
The Under 12's won
5 -2 at home to Higham Town. In a closely fought match, it
was Higham who took the lead after 5 minutes, Thrapston failing
to clear from the right. Thrapston were level after 14 minutes,
Keiran Moore crossing a perfect ball for Michael Cooke to
score. Shortly after the restart Higham were awarded a free
kick 35 yards from goal, which was well taken to make it 1
-2 to the away side. Thrapston equalised again after 27 minutes,
Ryan Gavin blasting in an indirect free kick from 12 yards
after the keeper picked up a pass back. On the stroke of half
time Thrapston took the lead when Michael Cooke scored his
second of the game. Half time 3 - 2. With the wind in Thrapston's
favour, the home side pressed for another goal, and were rewarded
after 38 minutes with a penalty following a handball. Keiran
Moore finished well. Three minutes later Thrapston extended
their lead after Ryan Gavin scored from close range. Higham
looked to get back into the game and were awarded a penalty
for a deliberate foul by the keeper, but the Higham player
missed his chance. 5 minutes later they did score to make
the final score 5 - 2.
The Under 13's lost
2 -1 away at Ise Lodge. An evenly fought game ended in a 2
- 1 win for Ise Lodge. All the goals in the first half with
Ise taking a two goal lead but Daniel Lynch pulling Thrapston
back into the game. With the wind not helping, the second
half ended in stalemate.
