The Under 13's won
2 -1 at home in the Burton Cup. An excellent advert for Cup
football with Thrapston edging it by two goals to one. Stanwick
scored first with a well-taken goal and there were chances
begging for Thrapston to level but the score remained 0 -
1 at half time. The second half carried on in the same way
with the home side unable finish. Finally, with 15 minutes
from the end, Daniel Lynch scored from a rebound off the bar
after a good effort was saved. With five minutes remaining,
Fraser Talbot scored a poachers goal to take Thrapston through
to the next round.
The Under 13's Youth
lost 6 -1 at Castle Rise with Ben Davey scoring Thrapston's
goal.
The Under 15's game against Kingswood
was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
