The were
beaten 4 - 0 by Ise Lodge Falcons.
Another defeat, but Thrapston played a lot better than last
week. They started well and had a great chance to score after
only a few minutes. It seemed as though the players had actually
listened to their coaches and were tackling like tigers, and
really playing well. Unfortunately, the score was 1 - 0 at
half time.
The second half started and luck was not with Thrapston.
They kept on pressurising the Falcons goal, two shots hit
the post, and one went just wide. With five minutes remaining,
a bad mistake in defence saw Ise Lodge score. Final score
4 - 0.
Manager's Comments: The team had tried so hard and had realised
that the team were not going to get anything out of this match
(so we let Falcons score two more goals to up their goal difference
:) ) This was the best we have played all season, and to be
honest we deserved to get the draw, if not win it. Well done
lads.
