The drew
1 - 1 with Burton Youth.
Thrapston took the lead midway through the first half, when
John Davies followed up to score after sustained Hurricane
pressure. Unfortunately just before half tim Burton got the
equaliser.
The second half was more of the same with both teams trying
their best to score. Thrapston came closest, and with better
finishing should have won the game. A fair result.
A pleasing performance, with the Hurricanes not losing for
the fist time this season.
Team: Doubleday, Love, Morton, Davies, Reynolds, Durrant,
Palmer & Abdallah.
Manager's Note: Due to the fact that we had still not won
a match this season, I felt that it was better to field our
strongest team for as long as possible to try to achieve our
first win. With that said I would like to thank Matthew Evetts,
Lewis Gordfrey and Ryan Lovelock for their support during
this game. We look forward to our last match against Grange
United, as we owe them one!
