Under 10's Hurricanes Match Report - 22nd February 2004 v Aztec Braves

The Under 10's Hurricanes narrowly lost 2 -1 to Aztec Braves.

What a match! Thrapston went ahead very early on, after some good approach play, when Alex Palmer was brought down by the goalkeeper. He got up and hit an unstoppable shot into the net. Immediately, Thrapston came under heavy pressure from Braves, but good defensive work by Love, Doubleday and Morton kept them out. A good battle started to develop in midfield, with both teams creating excellent chances. However good play by the Aztec side brought them the equaliser, and an unfortunate own goal gave the the win.

Manager's Note: A good display by the whole team, we were very unlucky to lose, our first win is not very far away. A special mention must go to John Davies, who has volunteered to play in goal for the last two matches. Besides being the smallest player in our squad he made some tremendous saves.

Team: Davies, Doubleday, Durrant, Love, Morton, Reynolds, Evetts, Godfrey, Lovelock, Palmer.
