The were
soundly beaten 10 - 0 by Generals Red.
Thrapston's highest defeat so far this season, against a
very strong and experienced Generals team. Thrapston started
very well, although on the back foot for most of the half.
Good defensive work, and a bit of luck kept the score to a
respectable 2 - 0 down. Thrapston created a few chances and
at one point Generals were worried.
Into the second half, and Thrapston let in a number of goals
very quickly, the players were tired, having had a training
session on saturday and a 6-mile sponsored walk for the school
on Friday. Thrapston battled on bravely, picking up a couple
of injuries, including the keeper.
The lads gave it everything but were beaten by the experience
and skill of a very good Generals side.
