The Hurricanes kicked off their first league match with a
0 - 2 defeat. Although they lost, Thrapston gave a very good
account of themselves. Thrapston fell behind when a defensive
mistake let Ise Lodge through, but kept battling away until
half time.
The second half started with the Hurricanes putting some
good attacks, David Morton was almost through a couple of
times, before the Falcons keeper made two good saves.
Unfortunately, the Thrapston keeper gave away a plenty with
a few minutes left, which made the score 0 - 2.
With Hurricanes first game over, and they all played their
hearts out, I was impressed, and a few more weeks on the training
field and we will be winning matches like the one played today.
The lads are looking forward to next weeks match already as
they know they have it in them to win.
