The kept
up their unbeaten run with a win over Ise Lodge Hawks 2 -
0.
Passions heightened by the disappointment of the ignoble performance
of the previous week, the Tornadoes this week out-hurricaned
Isabel to wreck devastation upon Ise Lodge Hawks.
From the rumble of the first whistle until the 40th minute
as the game dwindled to an end, the Tornadoes eclipsed the
Hawks with an imperious performance founded on an unfaltering
defence, dynamic midfield and incisive attack.
The first goal came from Ryan Caller whose lustrous run was
only outshone by his resplendent finish – firing low
into the corner of the goal with a trail of bemused defenders
only able to barely ponder how to extinguish such a shooting
star.
Not to be outshone by his collaborator, Graeme Wright emulated
this earlier goal scoring feat with an adroit run behind the
floundering Hawks defence to caress the ball past a forlorn
keeper – poetry!
Although siege was laid to the goal of the Hawks, alas this
was to be the end of the goals; and as our weary warriors
left the field of battle they were satisfied that the campaign
was back on course and that they were ready for their next
epic encounter.
