The won
0 - 5 against Burton Youth.
The Tornadoes turned on the style over a struggling Burton
Youth team in their last match of the season to canter to
a 5-0 win. A consummate lesson in forward play by the mercurial
Ryan Caller (3 goals – left foot, right foot and header)
sealed the fate of this game early on. A “3 yard screamer”
from William Morrison was complemented by the predatory “stab”
from Graeme Wright.
But for the heroics of the Burton keeper this could have
been an avalanche of goals. What pleased the management was
the total football attitude of the players throughout the
game. Not so long ago we would witness the midfield cavalry
charge as everyone tried to get on the score sheet, we now
see a much more mature approach as everyone plays for the
team.
Well played everybody today - but a special mention must
go to Matty Hansord who put in a tackle that Phil Vickery,
all the supporters and especially his Dad was proud of …what
would have done to him if he was French!
