11's Match Report - 21st September 2003 Vs Ise Lodge Eagles
Starting with two wins behind them the Under
11’s were in high spirits at the start of the
game hoping to repeat the fine football of last week. A determined
Ise Lodge had other ideas and worked hard to stop Thrapston
pushing forward. Thrapston were unable to dominate with opportunities
only coming from the Forwards Reece Evans and Jack Rawcliffe.
Both made numerous sudden breaks with the dead lock finally
being broken by Jack Rawcliffe following up a loose ball on
the goal line to beat the Ise Lodge Keeper and make it 1-0.
A second came from Jack shortly later with Ise Lodge scoring
on the break making it 2-1. Carlos Lewis finished the first
half scoring making it 3-1 beating two defenders with a shot
from the edge of the box.
Ise Lodge came out attacking from the whistle in the second
half stopping Thrapston's defence from settling down, constant
pressure during the 30 minutes meant the defence were always
on the back foot conceding another goal soon after Jack got
his third to take it to 4-2. Hard work from Jordan Ward playing
central mid field rather than his normal positon in defence
and a number of wide balls to Callum Vorley on the left eventually
lead to Jack’s fourth goal to make it 2-5.
