Under 12's Match Report - 30th November 2003 Vs Northampton Far Cotton Colts (County Cup)

The Under 12's lost 2 - 3 at home to Rothwell Aztec.

Thrapston started well and within a minute were 0 - 1 up through a Keiran Moore shot after a slick passing move. Ryan Gavin added the second, a direct free kick rebounding of the left post. Thrapston maintained all the pressure and on 20 minutes Josh Wesby, scoring his first goal of the season, made it 0 - 3 following some good work by Michael Cooke. Colts managed a couple of attacks into the Thrapston half but couldn't finish. Shortly before half time Josh added his second to make the half time score 0 - 4.

The second half saw Far Cotton push up and they were rewarded with a goal after 10 minutes, Thrapston's defence unable to clear. Thrapston finally made the game safe after Stephen Broom, on his debut, scored his first and Thrapston's fifth. Stephen should have added his second shortly after but just shot wide. The final score ended 1 - 5 with Thrapston thoroughly deserving to go through to the next round.
