The managed a 3 -
3 draw away at Cottingham.
Thrapston got off to a flying start, and after a goalmouth
scramble, the ball came out to Ryan Gavin who scored from
20 yards after a minute of play. With both teams evenly matched,
Cottingham equalized midway through the half. Thrapston continued
to press and shortly before the break the keeper was unable
to hold on to a high ball in and Keiran Moore pounced on the
loose ball to make it 1 - 2 at half time.
The second half saw Cottingham immediately level the game
after Thrapston failed to clear a corner, but within 10 minutes
Thrapston were back in front. The goal followed a close chance
saved on the line by a Cottingham defender, but the clearance
came to George Gardener who shot from 25 yards out to give
the away side the lead. Unfortunately this didn't last long
as Cottingham once again scored to level the game at 3 - 3.
A good game played in very difficult windy conditions.
