Thrapston went down to a solitary goal scored in the second
half to continue their poor start to the New Year.
The game started well with both side evenly matched, however
Thrapston seemed to have the opportunities to carve out an
opening although none were taken. Both Jamie Gambrell and
Declan Ward worked very hard but were unable to break the
deadlock and the Thrapston goalkeeper Jake Woods was called
on only once in the first half to produce a fine save.
The second half mirrored the first with both sides having
the opportunity to score but being unable to find the final
pass or finish, despite this Man of the Match Jamie Gambrell
worked tirelessly chasing the ball to try and break the deadlock.
However a defensive error by one of the Thrapston defenders
let in Corby Ravens to score the decisive goal in this close
fought and evenly played match.
