The unbeaten run continues
with a 1 - 0 win over Earls Barton with Charlie Coulson getting
the winner.
In a very close and at times hard fought game, Thrapston
managed to maintain their unbeaten start to the season with
an early 1st half goal.
In a half with very few chances Thrapston settled into their
stride early in the game and were rewarded when “in
form striker” Charlie Coulson broke into the penalty
box from the right hand wing to clinically finish, putting
Thrapston 1 up. With Niall Mitchell having another good game
at the back and with Jake Woods in goal Thrapston never looked
like conceding a goal.
The second half turned out to be a tight affair with the
Thrapston goal under pressure for the majority of the half,
however Man of the Match Jake “safehands” Woods,
who was playing his first game in goal making a number of
important saves there by keeping the Thrapston lead intact.
In the dying seconds Earls Barton were unlucky when the Thrapston
defense went a.w.o.l. and they put the ball inches the wrong
side of the post.
Well done to the ALL the team for battling throughout the
whole game and continuing the unbeaten start to the season.
