The continued their
impressive start beating Kingswood Kestrels 0 - 4.
A storming start by Thrapston saw them 3 - 0 up within the
first five minutes of the start of the game. The first, a
real poacher's goal, with Tim Sawford sliding in at the far
post from a Charlie Coulson corner. Charlie Coulson added
a second after beating a couple of players before shooting.
Although initially well saved, the keeper coyuld not hold
on to the ball and Charlie managed to poke the ball homedespite
being on the floor. The third Thrapston goal was the pick
of the bunch, Luke Stevens picked the ball up in his own half
before setting out on a run that saw him beat two Kingswood
players before driving the ball home from the edge of the
area. Half time 0 - 3.
The second half was controlled by Thrapston, although when
tested, were always able to handle any Kingswood attack, with
Jake Woods in fine form. A fourth goal by Declan Ward sealed
a good victory, which maintained their great unbeaten start
to the season. Final score 0 - 4.
