The got back to winning
ways with a good 7 - 0 win over Hellenic Youth.
Thrapston U8’s are back ! ! !
After some recent poor performances, Thrapston returned to
winning ways with a crushing seven nil win against Hellenic
Youth.
The game started with Thrapston on the attack immediately
with Luke Stevens going close in the early minutes, however
Hellenic soon countered only to find Jake Woods in great form
in the Thrapston goal. In the fifth minute Thrapston were
unlucky not to score when Luke Stevens hit the side netting,
however a couple of minutes later Thrapston opened the scoring
when Luke Stevens ran onto a Jake Woods goalkick and finished
well. Thrapston were unlucky not to finish the half more than
one up as Luke Stevens hit the post twice in the remaining
minutes of the half.
The second half started as the first had finished with Thrapston
in total control and the crowd only had to wait a couple of
minutes until Declan Ward ran on to a lovely through ball
from Josh Smikle to bury the ball in the bottom corner of
the net. The floodgates then opened with Man of the Match
Luke Stevens scoring a further four goals and Declan Ward
a further one to ensure that Thrapston went into the Xmas
break in winning form.
