The played well to
defeat Kettering Generals 4-0 to maintain their 100% start
to the season. Their first clean sheet in a long time was
a credit to the good defending of Josh Scarbrow, and safe
Hands of Alex Vitue.
The first half was a midfield battle, and looked like ending
in stalemate until the Sam Gallagher long throw found the
head of Tom Alsop whose flick on evaded all to put the town
ahead at half time.
The second half was all Thrapston, with a scrambled second
from Allsop, followed quickly by a left foot volley for his
hatrick. Thrapston were not finished though with a late corner
finding the head of Gallagher who powered the ball into the
back of the net.
Speaking after the game the manager Richard Allsop quoted.
" This is the best playing performance I have seen from
the team in the time we have been playing in the Weetabix
leagues "
Well done lads and good luck for next week.
