Thrapston threw away a 0 - 2 lead, losing 4 – 2 to Ise
hearts in the league Cup. Town were 2 – 1 up at half
time after goals by Jack Nicholson and Chris Meadway. But
during the second half, which saw a lacklustre Thrapston side
capitulate under Hearts sustained pressure, the home side
scored three goals without reply. A disappointing end to an
unbeaten start to the season, but the players can take consolation
that they can now concentrate on the league.
The took
revenge on last year's Cup winners Vicarage Farm beating them
away 0 - 6. Thrapston found themselves 0 - 1 up at the break
with a goal from Jake Wesby. In the second half Thrapston
dominated, a brace from Jack Wisniewski, one from Dean Barber,
one from Mark Spicker and an own goal saw the away side finishing
up a deserved 0 - 6.
