The Under 10's Yellow
recorded their third win of the season beating Aztec Braves
4 - 1 with Josh Cummins scoring twice and goals from Luke
Rivett and Lewis Burton.
The Under 11's Cup
match against Weekley Rovers was postponed due to severe weather
conditions.
The Under 14's won through to the
next round of the League Cup following a 3 - 2 home win over
Hellenic. A superb all-round performance in conditions that
got worse as the game progressed. Thrapston were 1 - 2 down
at half time, although they didn't deserve to be in that position
after dominating the half. Andrew McConnell scored Thrapston's
first, but two long-range efforts by Hellenic gave them the
lead at the break. Super football by both sides in the second
half, especially from Thrapston turned the match around. Thrapston
equalised from a well-taken goal by Daniel Lynch after good
play between Cory James and Andrew Millard. The game was looking
good for extra time when Johnnie Lawrence scored the winner
with three minutes of normal time left to play giving Thrapston
the deserved winner and putting them through to the next round.
The Under 16's eased through to the
semi-finals of the League Cup following their 1 - 5 away win
at Wollaston. Two goals from Jake Wesby and one from Jack
Wisniewski saw Thrapston lead 1 - 3 at half time. Both players
added one each in the second half to see the away side to
a comfortable victory.
