The suffered
their fourth defeat of the season losing 8 -2 away at Finedon
Vics. Both teams started well, with Finedon making most of
the running for the first 15 minutes, eventually scoring after
some poor defending. Thrapston went further behind, again
failing to stop Vics running through with the ball. Two more
goals left Thrapston with an uphill task before Ryan Gavin
gave them hope on the stroke of half time with a well-taken
free kick. Half time 4 - 1. Thrapston got back into the game
within 10 minutes of the restart, Craig Mattingley finishing
after some good work down the right by Stephen Broom. Unfortunately
Finedon replied immediately to stretch the score line once
more. Heads dropped and Finedon went on to score a further
three goals to make the final score 8 - 2.
The drew
1 - 1 at home to Stanwick Rovers. Thrapston must have thought
it was going to be one of those days until a very late penalty
scored by Daniel Lynch earned then a point. In a one-sided
fist half, Thrapston should have gone in with a four goal
lead, with chances going begging. The second half was a little
more even, with Thrapston still not taking their chances and
in the end both teams were probably happy with the shared
points.
The won
0 - 1 away at Rothwell Aztec to maintain their 100% record.
