Where did last weeks team go to? The spark and determination
that resulted in last weeks win just was not there today.
Poor marking in defence, what looked like a tired and disinterested
midfield and forwards unwilling to provide support when the
opportunities came gave a well prepared Hellenic a deserved
win.
Three goals in the first half followed by three in the second
with only a handful of ventures in to the Hellenic box made
for a very one-sided game. Jack Rawcliffe in attack proved
to be the only exception amongst the Thrapston players, working
tirelessly deep back into the midfield with numerous attempts
to create an opportunity each time to be stopped by a lack
of quality support.
The lads have proved time and again they can play good football,
this was not one of them. Hellenic were never going to be
easy but unless the lads start to believe in themselves it’s
difficult to see the team moving off the bottom of the table.
