Thrapston started well and took the lead early
on, a goal from Michael Cooke after some slick passing. Ise
responded almost immediately and levelled after Thrapston
failed to clear their lines. Stephen Broom then scored to
make it 2 - 1 to Thrapston but once again, the home defence
was caught on the break and Ise drew level. Shortly before
the break Ise Lodge then scored again to go in at the break
leading 2 - 3, again Thrapston's defence not coping with the
breakaway ball.
The second half saw Thrapston press for the
equaliser and it duly came after some good passing up front,
Ryan Gavin placing the ball over a stranded keeper. Unfortunately
the comeback was only short lived as Ise scored on the break
again to make it 3 - 4. Thrapston tried to push up, but left
gaps for Ise to exploit and with fifteen minutes to go Ise
were awarded a penalty which was converted. Poor defending
from a corner resulted in Ise Lodge's sixth goal. Ryan Gavin
scored his second from the penalty spot to close the gap to
4 - 6, too late to make a difference and the final scored
remained 4 - 6.
