This week Thrapston found themselves up against a strong
Hellenic side. From
the start Thrapston seemed not quite their usual confident
selves and
consequently went a goal down due to some poor marking.We
then pushed
forward in search of an equaliser, with Max coming close with
an attempted
lob after some good work from Scott.Kyran came on for Lucaas,
but we still
went in 0-1 at half time.
The start of the 2nd half saw Kern make a string of good saves.Charlie
came
on for Joe and we pushed on for an equaliser. A huge kick
up field by Kern
saw the ball bounce over the last Hellenic defender and Max
nipped in to
make it 1-1.Whilst we were still celebrating getting back
in the game,
Hellenic scored again from the edge of the box, leaving Kern
with no chance.
Harry came on for Scott as we continued to push forward, but
time was not on
our side and Hellenic ran out winners 1-2.
Well our first defeat had to happen at some point, although
we didn't play
as well as we can.All over the pitch we seemed below par and
it will be a
good test next week to see how we pick ourselves up.
