Danesholme Raiders 1 vs Thrapston Town Yellows

After the disappointment of having 2 weeks football
cancelled, we were back in action against Danesholme Raiders
in a repeat of our 1st ever fixture. Starting line up Kern,
Joe Alistair, Harry , Charlie Subs Max Scott and Josh
We started off a bit slowly, our passing game was not as
fluent as usual, probably due to the fact we hadn't had a
game for 2 weeks, but soon we were putting the Raiders goal
under pressure with Charlie and Harry combining well.Late
into the 1st Half after a good move,Harry hit an unstoppable
shot to put us into a 0-1 lead.Half time.
2nd Half Subs Max for Charlie, Scott for Harry, Josh for
Alistair. Straight from the restart and with his first touch,Max
put us 0-2 up, and we started to put the Raiders goal under
great pressure, with Joe and Josh keeping it tidy at the back.
Joe then made a great tackle and passed to Max, who turned
and shot to make it 0-3. We were now cruising without playing
particularly well. Scott then passed to Max,and Max completed
his hat-trick to make it 0-4. Charlie back on for Max. Then
something happened which hadn't occured since October, we
conceeded a goal, which dubiously came direct from the K.O.leaving
Kern with no chance. Final score 1-4, an exact repeat of our
1st game. Well done everyone, we were a little rusty, but
that is to be expected having not had a game for 2 weeks!
