After last weeks draw, Thrapston were keen to get back to
winning ways
against Generals Red.The 1st half saw the Yellows pepper the
Reds goal with
both Harry and Charlie going very close, but the Reds managed
to keep us
out. Joe and Josh kept it tight at the back, Lucaas then coming
on for Josh.
Half time score 0-0.
2nd Half
Max on for Charlie, Scott for Harry, Alistair for Lucaas,
Kyran for Joe.
The start of the 2nd half saw us continue where we left off
with Scott and
Max creating many problems for the Reds.Max then picked the
ball up, beat a
defender and unleashed an unstoppable shot from outside the
box, 1-0 to the
Yellows! The Reds then pushed forward to look for an equaliser
but some very
good defensive work from Kyran and Alistair meant that Kern
only had one
save to make.
Thrapston should have added to the score, but just couldn't
take their
chances. Final Score 1-0.
An excellent all round team performance-well done.
