Thrapston started the new season with a hardworking and committed
performance. Thrapston started well and scored within the
first minute. The Burton keeper played out of his skin but
was unable to prevent Thrapston from going further ahead and
by half time the score was eight nil.
Thrapston continued to work hard right through the second
half and were rewarded by scoring a further 6 goals. Credit
must go to the Burton players who regardless of the score
line continued to look for that elusive goal and made Thrapston
work for the entire half.
As the whole team had worked so hard and played so well,
no Man of the Match trophy was awarded to any individual player.
