Thrapston Town put in performance well below par and was
deservedly beaten by a hard working Weekly side. Lack of commitment,
passion and desire was evident for all to see as Thrapston
struggled to gain any control of the ball. When they did panic
set in and too many opportunities were wasted. The Weekly
goal was from a good shot which should have been bread and
butter for the keeper, however he was only able to parry the
ball upwards only for it to drop behind him into the net.
The second half performance did improve slightly however
few opportunities presented themselves.
Several players (and they know who they are) must question
their work rate and effort as it was seriously lacking in
a number of Thrapston team today.
