Thrapston put in their poorest display of the season and
were deservedly beaten by an Ise Lodge team that played some
excellent football. Thrapston went one down early in the half
but fought back with Declan Ward scoring at close range.
Within 30 seconds of the start of the second half starting
Thrapston had conceded again with a well-placed shot giving
the Thrapston keeper no chance. Thrapston allowed their heads
to drop and if it hadn’t been for some great tackling
by Jamie Gambrell and some hard work by Man of the Match Ryan
Watkin the end result could have been worse.

The quality of tackling and the poor marking were evident
for all to see. This needs to be addressed urgently if we
are to continue to make progress with the quality of football
that we wish to play.
