A good result considering being two down within the first
5 minutes of the game.
Two unfortunate goalkeeping errors ensured that Thrapston
had to put in a performance well above that of their last
game if they were to get anything out of this one. Thrapston
did work hard and created a few good opportunities and were
able to pull one back just before half time with a penalty
converted by Luke Stevens.
Kicking down the hill in the second half saw Thrapston up
their work rate and although having plenty of possession chances
were few and far between due to some good defending by Aztec.
However Thrapston never say die attitude which went missing
a few games ago returned and was dully rewarded when a shot
from Luke Stevens was deflected to” Man of the Match”
Connor Ryan who buried it in the Aztec net.
A much more committed performance. Well-done boys.
