The Under 14's lost
0 - 5 away at Higham Colts. Despite the final score the game
was much even, with Thrapston having a number of chances in
both halves. Higham took the lead mid way through the first
half but Thrapston battled well in poor very wet conditions.
Half time 1 - 0. Thrapston pushed for the equaliser, but suddenly
found themselves 5 - 0 down after being caught on the break
too many times in the second half. Despite a number of chances
towards then end, Thrapston couldn't score and the game ended
5 - 0.
The Under 16's maintained their 100%
record with a 7 - 2 home win over Grange United. 10-man Grange
took an early 2 – Nil lead breaking away and scoring
both on the counter after sustained pressure from Thrapston.
Thrapston pressed throughout the first half and eventually
got what they deserved when Ali Jones slotted home after good
work down the right. Chris Meadway equalized before half-time
and a revitalized Thrapston scored early in the second half
through Meadway again after some fine work down the right
from Sam Smith who had an outstanding game. Town took the
lead through Sam Gough who went on to get a hat-trick and
David Cunningham getting the other.
