Thrapston continued the form shown last week and took control
of the game from the start. The Thrapston attack of Luke Stevens,
Matthew Smith and Declan Ward worked tirelessly in chasing
the Ise Lodge defence and causing them to make mistakes. Luke
Stevens managed to penetrate the Ise Lodge defence, and twice
calmly slotted the ball past a stranded Ise Lodge keeper.
The second half started slowly and Ise Lodge began to pressure
the Thrapston goal however good defending by Matthew Watkin
in particular dealt with any real concerns that may have appeared.
Man of the Match Declan Ward worked his socks off and this
was rewarded mid way through the second half when his shot
when through a crowd of players before going in off the far
post. Luke Stevens finished off a great Thrapston performance
when he scored to complete his hatrick just before the end
of the game.
