Thrapston continued from where they left off last week playing
some lovely passing football, the difference being that we
found out where the goal was this week! !
Desborough, who are new to the league this season, rarely
troubled a strong Thrapston team who were confident on the
ball and playing some of their best football ever. Luke Stevens
(3), Ryan Watkin (4), Matthew Smith (2) all found the goal
with ease, however the build up play could not be faulted
and this still required considerable hard work and effort
by the entire team to ensure that Desborough never got in
to the game.
I am sure that we will face much stiffer tests over the coming
weeks but if we continue to play to our full potential then
we should be in for some exciting games.
I would just like to praise the Desborough team (especially
their Goalkeeper) who never gave up and they all kept trying
right up to the final whistle despite the score. Well done
a credit to the game.
