A rather disappointing result today considering which ended
our un-beaten run of 8 games.
The team worked hard in the first half with some near misses
and although we had possession for most of the game those
goals would just not come.
The second half saw us kicking up-hill and although we battled
hard we were still unable to take the chances and opportunities
to win the game but failed to capitalise on them. A controversial
winner was scored by Burton when a Thrapston player was clearly
fouled at a corner however although the rest of the crowd
saw the incident the referee decided to ignore it and the
goal was allowed to stand.
An unfortunate end to an otherwise enjoyable game.
