Thrapston continued with their winning ways
by beating “The Braves” four goals to nil.
It only took Thrapston a couple of minutes to find the net
with a fine shot from “Gatesy” which was encouraging
seeing that we were kicking up hill, however today all players
were up for the game and this showed in their performance.
Thrapston went from strength to strength and Jake Hankins
added to the score when beating the keeper with his head/shoulder
from a Connor Ryan corner. The Braves then began to find some
momentum and only poor finishing and some luck prevented Thrapston
conceding before half time.
The second half started with Thrapston pilling on the pressure
and going further ahead with “Gatesy scoring his second,
again Thrapston were rarely troubled defensively in the second
half and the game was put beyond all doubt when Jake Hankins
scored his second to make the final score 4 – 0.
