In a thoroughly entertaining and closely fought game, neither
team could break the deadlock although Thrapston twice hit
the post and tended to have the majority of the possession
but as in previous weeks struggled to find that killer instinct
in front of goal. The nearest Thrapston came to scoring was
when Luke Stevens hit the base of the post with a free kick
late on in the first half. Midway through the second half
Declan Ward hit the post from a speculative shot from the
halfway line, unfortunately the Thrapston strikers were too
busy watching the ball than following it in for the inevitable
rebound.
Thrapstons defence was well marshalled throughout by man
of the Match Jamie Gambrell.
