If football was won on chances then Thrapston
would have been clear winners today, Good early possession
saw just reward with an early half volley from Rivett to put
Thrapston one up. Further chances came from some outstanding
corners from Chandler – Abbott, but as known this season,
the Towns finishing was not great.
The opposition were certainly stronger than when we played
them earlier in the season, and had a will and desire to get
the ball in midfield.
One mistake is all it takes in Football, and in second half
stoppage time the central defence went AWOL, to give Doddington
the chance that their commitment to the game deserved.
Defensively we are sound as a unit – The Town continue
the search for more Attacking flair, and with new signings
on the horizon, the whole team will hopefully respond to this
result.
