Thrapston Town Blues 0 v Thrapston Town Yellows

A derby match of passion and skill.
Both teams clearly a match for each other now.
The first half showed that both in defense and counter attack
we are gaining strength.
Luke making a great save over the cross-bar, Harry and Andrew
really working together as a team in keeping the other team
from passing into the box.
Hayden dropping back to counter help either Andrew or Harry
to provide the second wave of defense.
Up front first half saw Alex and Joshua working together
and nearly scoring, taking us to a 0-0 half time score.
Second half James and Callum swapped with Alex and Joshua,
and once again our counter attacking was leading to opportunities,
from a corner right across the goal and ohh just needed a
touch but not to be. Andrew long range shot, again not to
be.
Ahh, last minute of the game and a goal mouth scramble sees
Yellow's Max toe punt the ball between Luke's legs, Luke almost
got it as he sat on it but this time it slipped out and just
rolled over the line.
Callum got Man of the Match this week, clearly showing great
strength on the ball and despite being exhausted never stopped
running for his half.
It only remains to say well done boys, a win for the Yellows
but we could have won, a draw at worst for all the effort
but that's football some you win and some you lose, but next
weeks another game and now we playing like champions we can
go out with out heads high and get back on the winning streak.
